Setting the Boundary Types
Before you generate the volume mesh, set the correct boundary types.
By setting boundary types in advance, the volume mesh does not create prism layers on outlet boundaries. To increase the freedom of the pressure correction, you define the left, right and top boundaries of the background region as pressure outlets. The two sides of the background region are defined as symmetry planes.
To set the boundary conditions:
- Select the Type to Overset Mesh. node and set
- Within the left, right, top and set Type to Pressure Outlet. node, multi-select
- Within the side1, side2 and set Type to Symmetry Plane. node, multi-select
