Enclosed Angle
The enclosed angle report outputs the angle between two direction vectors, each defined in a separate coordinate system which may be subject to motion.
An example of when this report can be used is for measuring the angular position of a rudder attached to a ship. This report is available for all simulations with motion.
Enclosed Angle Report Properties
Units |
Units that are used for specifying the angle. |
|
Direction 1 | The first direction vector specified in the Coordinate System 1.
Direction 2 | The second direction vector specified in the Coordinate System 2.
Coordinate System 1 | The first coordinate system that is selected to define the first direction vector.
Coordinate System 2 | The second coordinate system that is selected to define the second direction vector.
Offset | An offset which is added to the angle, for example, to yield a signed angle measurement, since the angle between the two direction vectors is always a positive angle. |
