Selecting Objects for Features
Within the specific dialog panels for 3D-CAD features, the object selector allows you to choose objects from a tree view while creating or editing feature.

Choose to create or edit a feature:
- In the 3D-CAD View Scene or in the 3D CAD model tree, select one or more bodies, body groups, or design filters, right-click and select a feature.
- In the 3D-CAD feature tree, right-click on an existing feature under the Features node and select Edit.
The feature panel appears. The following screenshot shows an example for Translate Bodies. -
To access the object selector, click the
(Open Selector) button on the right of the selection box.
The screenshot below shows an example of where to click.
In some cases, the object selector button is disabled if the selector cannot provide any usable objects.
The object selector tree appears between the Translate Bodies panel and the 3D-CAD View scene.The object selector tree contains objects that are appropriate for the corresponding selection widget. Selecting or deselecting objects in the 3D-CAD View scene automatically updates the selection in the object selector tree. Edge and face selections are not supported in the object selector.

To customize the color of the object selection, click the color on the left of
the selection box.
The color dialog appears from which you can choose a different color. -
To close the object selector panel:
- Click the
(Open Selector) button again.
- Click OK or Cancel in the feature edit panel.
