Design Sets Reference

The following properties and right-click actions are available for design sets in Design Manager.

For each design study, the following design sets are predefined:
  • All—contains all designs evaluated during the study.
  • Successful—contains all designs that ran without errors.
  • Feasible (not for DOE and CAD Robustness studies)—contains the designs that meet all constraints in the study.
  • Sweep #—contains the designs from the #th sweep of the smart sweep design.

You can add new design sets using right-click actions.

Design Sets Right-Click Actions

New Design Set
Creates one of the following new design set:

[design set] Properties

Number of Designs (read-only)
Specifies the number of designs in the selected design set.
Designs (for User Design Set)
Specifies the designs in the design set. A user-defined design set contains all designs of the study, by default. You can filter for specific designs or select the designs of interest manually.
Success Rate (%) (read-only)
Displays the number of successful designs in the design set as a percentage of the number of all designs in the design set.
Sort by (for Sort N Design Set)
Specifies the sorting criterion.
Sort Option (for Sort N Design Set)
Selects the sorting order between Largest to Smallest or Smallest to Largest.

If multiple designs have the same value, they are ordered lexicographically.

Maximum Number of Designs (for Sort N Design Set)
Determines the number of designs for the design set. The number shows as Number of Designs at the top of the property list.
Tags
Specifies the tags for the design set. For more information, see Tagging Simulation Objects.

[design set] Right-Click Actions

Open Output Table
Opens the Output Table for the selected design set in the Graphics window. For information on the displayed values see Output Tables Reference.
Clear All (for user-defined design sets)
Removes all designs from the selected design set.
Export to CSV
Exports the input parameter and response values for each designs in the design set. This action uses an operating system-specific standard Save dialog to store the designs to file. The exported file is written as comma separated values (.csv)—a format supported by many spreadsheets.
Set New Tag...
Creates a new tag and adds it to the selected design set. For more information, see Tagging Simulation Objects.
Set Tags > [tag]
Allows you to set a new tag or a previously created tag to the selected design set.
Rerun Designs
Re-runs all designs in the design set. For more information, see Re-running Selected Designs.
