Reporting Temperature with a Monitor and a Plot

Create a monitor and plot of maximum temperature to help you judge the rate at which the solution is converging.

The maximum temperature in the simulation is plotted. This plot is useful for assessing solution convergence.

To monitor the temperature:

Create a Maximum report (New > User > Maximum).
Rename the new report to Maximum Temperature.

Select the Reports > Maximum Temperature node and set the following properties:

Field Function	Temperature
Units	C

Right-click the Maximum Temperature node and select Create Monitor and Plot from Report.
New monitor and plot nodes are added to the Monitors and Plots nodes respectively.
