Combining DFBI Motion with Morphing

Morphing is a mesh method which displaces mesh vertices relative to region boundaries. It can be applied for executing the movement of the 6-DOF body.

Morphing in DFBI is only available with DFBI Morphing motion. The following steps outline the workflow when DFBI morphing motion is applied:

  1. To create a morphing motion, right-click the Tools > Motions node and select New > DFBI Morphing.
  2. To assign the motion to the morphed region, select the Regions > [Region] > Physics Values > Motion Specificication node and set Motion to DFBI Morphing.
The DFBI node appears in the simulation tree.
  3. To create a 6-DOF body, right-click the DFBI > 6-DOF Bodies > New Body node and select a Continuum Body, set the properties referring to 6-DOF Bodies Reference.
  4. To define morphing boundary conditions, select the [Region] > Boundaries > Physics Conditions > Six DOF Morpher Specification node and set the 6-DOF Morphing Properties.
