Visualizing the Solution

A scene has already been created to visualize the fluid velocity and the Von Mises Stress in the diaphragm. To visualize the Von Mises stress and the Plunger motion the relevant displayer properties must be defined.

To set the field functions modeled in the scene window:
  1. Select the Scenes > Scene 1 > Scalar Displacement Magnitude > Scalar Field node and set Function to Displacement > Magnitude.
  2. Select the Scene 1 > Scalar Stress > Scalar Field node and set the following properties:
    Property Setting
    Function Stress Von Mises
    Units Pa
Auto Range Min and Max Values
To visualize the translation motion created for the Plunger within the scene, a graphic motion transform is created and assigned to the plunger displayer.
  1. To set the transform for the Plunger in the scene:
    1. Right-click the Tools > Transforms node and select New Graphics Transform > Motion Transform.
    2. Select the Tools > Transforms > Motion Transform 1 node and set Motion to Translation.
    3. Select the Scenes > Scene 1 > Plunger node and set Transform to Motion Transform 1.
Setting the representations:
  1. Select the Scenes > Scene 1 > Scalar Pressure node and set Representation to Volume Mesh.
  2. Repeat the previous step above for the Vector Velocity, Scalar Displacement Magnitude, and Scalar Stress nodes.
  3. Select the Scene 1 > Vector Velocity > Color Bar node and set Color Map to blue-yellow-red.
  4. Save the simulation.
