Controlling Scene Orientation

By default, scenes fill the area of the graphics window and automatically resize as you change the width and height of the window. Alternative choices are available, including fixed aspect ratios and landscape or portrait modes.

Properties on each scene node control the behavior of the scene as a whole.

  1. To apply a fixed aspect ratio to a scene, select the [scene] node and set Aspect Ratio to an option different from Fit Screen.
For example, you can set Aspect Ratio to 16:9, which is the standard ratio for videos on many movie sharing websites.

  2. Having applied a fixed aspect ratio, you can optionally change the Orientation to Portrait.

The Width and Height properties of the [scene] node are read-only. These values change as you resize the graphics window.
