Power Spectra Density

The Power Spectra Density describes the total signal power over the frequency domain.

The Power Spectra Density (PSD) over a frequency band is the sum of the discrete PSD quantities, which are divided by the frequency ranges in the band.

where:

  • PSDi is the power spectra density of the ith frequency band.
  • ωihigh is the highest frequency of the ith band.
  • ωilow is the lowest frequency of the ith band.
