Cyclic Mode Properties Reference

The Cyclic Mode property of the monitor plot makes objects available for controlling periodic data.

Cyclic Settings Properties

Directly under the monitor plot node, the Cyclic Settings node lets you control cycle periods. For instructions, see Working with Monitor Plots.

Units
Units that represent the period starting point and length, inherited from the X-Axis Monitor Units property of the monitor plot (read-only).
Period
The length of each cycle, displayed in the associated units. The default value is defined by the range of x-values (maximum – minimum) available, such that the data set of the monitor is interpreted in the plot as a single cycle by default.
If the associated x-axis monitor is monitoring a Cyclic Time report, or the units of that x-axis monitor are interpreted as Cyclic Time units, then the period is extracted from the Rotation Rate and Revolutions per Cycle properties of the associated Cyclic Time unit.
Lock Period
When this option is deactivated, the Period value is recalculated and applied automatically, as per the above description of the Period property.
Period Start
The starting point of the first period, displayed in the associated units. The default value is defined by the minimum x-value available.
If the associated x-axis monitor is monitoring a Cyclic Time report, or the units of that x-axis monitor are interpreted as Cyclic Time units, then the period start is extracted from the Starting Offsetproperty of the associated Cyclic Time unit.
Lock Period Start
When activated, keeps the Period Start setting constant even as more data is coming in. When this option is deactivated, the period start is calculated automatically.

Cyclic Style Node Actions

The right-click action of this node is used for editing colors of its special Line Style and Symbol Style nodes.

Edit Child Colors
Activates the Data Provider Colors dialog, in which you can edit colors associated with cycle lines.
