3D Sketch Entity
Sketches are comprised of sketch entities. The following table describes the 3D sketch entities that are available in 3D-CAD.
![]() (Create Point) |
Draws a point in 3D space. See Point. |
![]() (Create Line) |
Draws a line in 3D space. See Line. |
![]() (Create Spline) |
Draws a spline in 3D space. See Spline. |
![]() (Create Line on Face) |
Draws a line that
is constrained to a CAD surface. To draw a line on a face, you require a minimum of
two mouse clicks. The line can span multiple faces as long as there is a point on the
adjoining edge. When you move the mouse pointer over a surface, the surface is
highlighted in blue to indicate that the line is constrained to it. When you move the
mouse pointer over edges, these are highlighted in yellow.![]() |
![]() (Create Spline on Face) |
Draws a spline that
is constrained to a CAD surface. To draw a spline on a face, you require a minimum of
three mouse clicks. The spline is limited to a single face at a time. When you move
the mouse pointer over a surface, the surface is highlighted in blue to indicate that
the spline is constrained to it. When you move the mouse pointer over edges, these are
highlighted in yellow.![]() |
![]() |
Allows you to create a helix or spiral sketch. See Helix. |
![]() |
Allows you to create a curve defined by equations for the x, y, and z components. See Equation Based Curves. |
