Equation Based Curve Panel

The following table summarizes the properties that are available for an equation-based curve sketch. To define a curve using an equation, you enter the entire equation directly in the panel.

X Allows you to define an expression for the x, y, and z components. Define the equations using both scalar and interval design parameters. For more information, see Creating a New Design Parameter.

Interpolation Points Allows you to define the number of interpolation points that define the curve. The interval defined using the interval design parameters is split according to the number of interpolation points you specify. For each point the x, y, and z coordinates for the curve are calculated using the equations specified.
Zero Curvature At End Points When activated, creates a natural spline at the end points of the curve. If you are defining an aerofoil, deactivate this property.
