Creating the Simulation

Launch Simcenter STAR-CCM+ and create a simulation.

To create the simulation:

Create a working directory and copy the files that are required for this tutorial.
  1. Create a working directory called CylindricalCell.
  2. Navigate to the battery folder of the downloaded tutorial files, and copy the following files into the CylindricalCell directory:

    • TutorialCellCylindrical.tbm

    • Tutorial3CDischargeCylindrical.prg

    • post1Cylindrical.x_b

    • post2Cylindrical.x_b

    • strapCylindrical.x_b

    • externalCasingCylindrical.x_b

Create the simulation.
  1. Launch Simcenter STAR-CCM+.
  2. Start a simulation.
  3. Save the simulation as batteryTutorialCylindrical.sim in the CylindricalCell directory.
