User Specified Normalization

This node specifies a Normalization comparison value that is used to scale all exported audio signals to the same amplitude range.

Set this value to the peak value of the derived data set that has the highest-amplitude signal. The highest amplitude signal can be detected by subtracting the mean value from all of the derived data sets belonging to the point inverse time Fourier transform and comparing the resulting traces on a plot.

To subtract the mean value from the derived data sets:

  1. Select option User Specified for the Added Mean Type property on the Inverse Fourier Transform node.
  2. Enter a value of 0.0 for the User specified added mean.

When you have estimated the peak amplitude across all the derived data sets, enter this value in the Normalization comparison value property.
