Bridge Surface Panel
The Bridge Surface action creates a surface between two sets of edges.
Tangent to Faces for Source Edges | When activated, makes the bridge surface tangent to the source edges. This option is not supported for facet models.
Tangent to Faces for Target Edges | When activated, makes the bridge surface tangent to the target edges. This option is not supported for facet models.
Exclude Smooth Vertices | When activated, ignores vertices between edges with curvature continuity. Activate this option to improve the quality of the bridge surface when using multiple edges in each definition set. This option is not supported for facet models.
Use Sheet Body as a Guide Surface | When activated, accepts an optional guide surface in the form of a sheet body to eliminate any unwanted free edges from complex geometries. This option supports both open and closed profiles. This feature is useful for geometries such as engine cylinders, number of edges on one side can be different from the number of edges on the other side. This option is not supported for facet models.
Tolerance Value | Controls the tolerance for plane fitting in cases where there are planar profiles. Also controls the sewing tolerance when the Sew Bodies option is activated. If you are using a facet model, it is recommended to set the tolerance to 1.0E-5. If the Bridge Surface operation fails, try reducing the tolerance value.
Sew Bodies | When activated, sheet bodies are sewn together. If the resulting geometry is closed, a solid geometry is created. |
