Meshing a Stack of Parts

This section describes how to mesh a stack of parts.

When meshing a stack of parts, prepare the parts with a consistent naming convention so that you can identify each side of the interface throughout the stack.



When setting the Source Surfaces for the Directed Mesh operation, choose the faces on the upstream side of the initial part in the stack.



When setting the Target Surfaces for the Directed Mesh operation, choose the faces on the downstream side of the final part in the stack.



NoteThe directed meshing process transfers mesh from source surfaces on to target surfaces. Therefore, target surfaces cannot contain internal part curves.
