Using the Remove Option
The remove option allows you to remove cells from the existing cell set.
To access the cell set remove option,
right-click on the desired cell set node and select

from the pop-up menu:
Four different remove options are allowed:
- cell list - Remove cells from the set based on cell index ID’s or offsets.
- threshold - Remove cells from the set based on a scalar threshold.
- zone - Remove cells from the set based on a zone.
- geometric range - Remove cells based on a geometric range.
An example before and after snapshot of a remove operation using a zone is shown below:

In this example, the original cell set contained a portion of the model cells. The remove operation using a zone was used to select the left half of the set, which was removed, leaving the right half in the set.
