Identifying Out-of-Date Parts in an Operation
Parts that will be meshed when you execute an operation, that is, parts that are newly added to an operation, have failed from previous operations, or are that were modified, are marked as "dirty" or out-of-date.
Operations containing out-of-date parts are flagged with the
icon in the object tree.
When meshing, parts that fail to mesh are printed in the mesh report in the
Output window. The more complicated the case, the more difficult it is to find the parts that failed, and once you identify the parts, you have to manually select the parts. Using the
Show Parts to be Meshed feature in , you can identity, isolate, and place out-of date parts in the clipboard. This feature is available for the following operations:
- Automated Mesh
- Automated Mesh 2D
- Surface Wrapper
To identify out-of-date parts:
- Right-click the operation which is flagged as out-of-date and select
Show Parts to be Meshed.
A Parts to be Meshed dialog appears and displays all relevant parts.
- To add parts to the clipboard, in the
Parts to be Meshed dialog, select the desired part and click
Copy selected part to clipboard.
You can use the copied parts to populate other mesh operations or custom mesh controls. This feature is useful resolving meshing problems with specific parts.
