Using the Heat of Formation
The Heat of Formation is the heat that is evolved when 1 kilogram of the substance is formed from its elements in their respective standard states [J/kg].
This value node (Heat of
Formation in the following screenshot) is activated when:
- The Specific Heat property of a mixture component in an EBU or CFM combustion model is to be calculated by a method other than Thermodynamic Polynomial Data.
- An energy model is included with Eulerian Multiphase (EMP) multiphase simulations.
- An energy model is included with Fluid Film simulations, and the physics continuum is defined with the Eulerian Multiphase multiphase flow model.
